We need a great game this afternoon to regain confidence and avoid any panic over the back to back shutouts.

Is our magic number still 6 points or has that changed based on some of the games last night like CBJ's loss?

Go flyers!!

I don't want to root for injury except against the pens but JC Mez needs to play for Boston to get that 2nd round pick

Totally agree.. I am worried they might get rolled today, but they seem to have been stepping up of late vs good teams. We desperately need to get points out of the game regardless.. You would know, Bruins start Johnson vs the Leafs and play Rask vs us.. Dammit! I suspect that we are going to need to win some games in Boston at some point in the playoffs anyways.. might as well start now.. Play well.. get points and catch the Rangers!

Thursday's game had to be the biggest "groin kick" disappointment of the season!

Not really they can also re-sign him for a 2nd round pick to happen.

Looking for a goal or three. And some powerplay success.

Don't disappoint me!

Ok. But if he's scratched for the playoffs what really are the chances they'd resign him?

OHL Draft - Ottawa 67's pick

Travis Barron - "Heart-and-soul character player… strong possession skills…physical & strong on special teams…think Scott Laughton"

The depth on that team is staggering!

Depth & structure, it seems only a rash of injuries can stop them.

Emery again? interesting... not that he hasn't played well lately, but still these are the type of games your starting goaltender should be playing in.

There hasn't been a good goalie controversy all year.

Honestly, I thought Emery might get the start against Buffalo, but putting him in today might be an attempt to slap the team awake.

Thats what I'm thinking too.

He did play well against St. Louis.

That being said, I would start Mason. I may start him in both games.

If they were on the outside looking in at the playoff tree, I think Mason would get both games - not that they have an insurmountable cushion as it is, but that's what makes me think this is a 'shakeup' start.

I think its imperative they get the #2 seed. I don't see how this team can go on the road and beat the Rangers. They haven't won there in, what, 3 years?

The math is still developing, but the metrics do not favor starting the same goaltender on consecutive days.

I probably would've started Mason today, as well. But whichever way today goes, if Emery plays today, I sure hope that Mason plays tomorrow, or vice versa, but not the same guy on both days.

I think that we should have started Mase in both games, but last time I was worried about it, we started Ray vs Chicago and got the win..Boston on the road is a massive task however.
